Edith Elmo (Ritter) Lakins – age 94, was born on Ritter Ridge in Washburn, on June 30, 1923. She left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

Elmo is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Lakins; parents, Dave and Pearl (Atkins) Ritter; brothers, Boyd and Basil (Lela) Ritter; and sisters, Esther (Will) Majors and Ethel Majors. She will be sadly missed by her family, daughter, Phyllis (Drafus) Davidson; grandson, Jody (Charity) Davidson; granddaughter, Kelly (Brad) Greene; great grandchildren, Jacob, Garrett, Grady and Graham Davidson and Finley Rose, Tate and Ty Greene; several nieces, nephew, and friends; and caregiver, Jenny Sandifur. A special thank you to Washburn Primary Clinic and Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Epperson and Reverend Denver Davidson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Acuff Cemetery, Washburn for an 11 a.m. interment service.
