Eugene “Gene” Norris – age 76 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2016. He was of the Baptist faith. Gene was retired from Modine Manufacturing and enjoyed farming and gardening.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Bonnie Norris; wife and mother of his children, Carolyn Norris; granddaughter, Khloe Norris; step-grandson, Christopher Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Alice Norris; sons, Mike Norris, Keith (Heather) Norris, and Gary Norris; step-children, Billy (Sherry) Murphy, Tammy (Tim) Shartzer, Jeanne (Nelson) Wright and Jason (Sonya) Tabor; twelve step-grandchildren; and brothers, Ray (Mary) Norris and Bill Norris.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Brian Liford officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, September 12, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Pleasant View Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. interment.
