Earnest Ray Norris – age 80 of Knoxville, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Halls. Ray was saved on May 17, 1975 at Milan Baptist Church in Maynardville and served as a radio minister for several years.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Bonnie Norris; brothers, Jack and Eugene Norris; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edd and Dot Washam; and brother-in-law, Danny Washam. Ray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Norris; brother, Bill Norris, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Carroll and Wilma Leath, Terry and Karen Washam, Steve and Lisa Cassell, Sherry Adams and Phyllis Washam; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in Hickle Cemetery.
