Morris Meek, Jr. – age 81 of Maynardville, formerly of Greenfield, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He was member of Hill Top Baptist Church. Morris had many hobbies, he enjoyed making knives, was an artist and enjoyed studying the Bible. He retired in 2000 from Oak Park Apartments in Greenwood, Indiana as a maintenance supervisor. Morris was a U. S. Army veteran serving in Germany from 1958- 1960 and a 1954 graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Morris is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Storey and father, Morris Meek, Sr.; daughter, Brenda Kay Meek; grandson, William Morris Meek; sister, Marsha Austin; and uncle and aunt, Lester and Irene Meek. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Meek; son, Jeffrey Meek; step-daughter, Tammy (Tim) Young; grandson, Joseph Young; special cousins, Paul, Marvin, Doris, Mary Kay and Roberta, all of Greenfield, Indiana; brothers-in-law, Jim Norris and John (Claudette) Norris; sister-in-law, Nancy Ervin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service to immediately follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Reverend Tim Day officiating. Interment services will be Friday, August 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Philadelphia Cemetery, Philadelphia, Indiana.
