Donna Lynn Bailey Jones – born December 6, 1953 of Maynardville, died March 20, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Donna is the current Union County Assessor of Property. Donna was an avid patron of the arts and supporter of the Union County Arts Council as well as a friend to the Union County Humane Society. Donna is preceded in death by sister, Mary Elizabeth Beeler. Donna is survived by her husband of 27 years, Randall E. “Randy” Jones; parents, Reverend Robert and Jean Baltimore; children, Gretchen (Samuel) Kidd, Tina Corum, Tina Rednower (Oscar) Najera, Ashley (Russell) Thomas, Nicole Berry, and Zachary Jones. She was lovingly known as GrandDonna to Nikolas Jones, Oscar Rednower, Ashton Jones, Marissa Corum, Isaiah Rednower, Vincent Corum, Van Thomas, M. J. Thomas, Hanna Berry and Adalynn Thomas. She is also survived by siblings James (Pat) Bailey, Valence (Crystal) Baltimore, Robin Baltimore (Peter) Richard; and many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. Donna was a second mother to Haylea Hurst, Austin Munsey, Cody Allen and Justin White, who she loved dearly; and loyal staff members, Millie Hartgrove, Randy Turner and Tammy Carter. Donna had many special friends during her lifetime, but none were cherished so much as sister of her heart, Beth Glenn and her husband Eric. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Trinity Funeral Home in Maynardville from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Flat Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Wade Brantley and Reverend Jerry Baltimore officiating. Speakers will be Mike Williams, Randy Turner, Ronnie Irick and Gretchen Kidd. Interment will follow in Little Flat Creek Cemetery.
