Aileen Wilson Fugate, age 84 of Maynardville, passed away on March 21, 2016 at Willow Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center of Maynardville. Aileen was born on June 23, 1931 in Goin, Tennessee to the parents of Gladys Keck Wilson and Elmer “Shot” Wilson. Aileen was a retired employee of St. Mary’s Hospital with 25 years’ service, with many fond memories from her years with the Radiology & Oncology Department. Aileen was married to the love of her life, Thomas Andrew Fugate, for 61 years. Aileen had an energetic personality, feisty spirit, and a love for life. She loved her family dearly, and dedicated every ounce of her being to the loves of her life – her grandchildren. Aileen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fugate; her parents, Gladys and Shot Wilson; and her brother Beverly “Bug” Wilson. She is survived by her son, Mark (Missy) Fugate of Maynardville; daughter, Tammye (Mike) Hamilton of Young Harris, Georgia; grandchildren, Megan Middleton, Ashley (Mitch) Leigh, Cody Hamilton and Drew Fugate; great-granddaughter, Emma Middleton; special nephew, Mark Wilson; and several nieces and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The memorial service to immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. with Reverend Jody Winstead officiating. A releasing of doves ceremony will close the service.
