Albert Emerson  Thomas
Thomas, Albert Emerson (A.E.) – born December 1, 1921 age 93 of Corryton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was a member of Cedar Ford Missionary Baptist Church. Albert was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from Southern Railroad after 41 years of service. He was a 50 year member of Burlington Lodge #763 F. & A.M. Preceded in death by wife Evelyn Morrissey Thomas, parents; John and Ora (Edmondson) Thomas, brother; Clint Thomas, sisters; Vergie Whitson and Dorothy Inklebarger.
Albert is survived by son; Harley (Shirley) Acuff of Corryton; grandchildren; Teresa Bailey, Jerry Acuff, Jeff Hundley; eight great grandchildren; Jessica, Quincy, Eric, Whitney, Danny, Brandon, Dyllen, and Gibson; six great-great grandchildren; Colbey, Madison, Caleb, Chloe, Bailee, and Emma; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends; Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow immediately at 8:00 p.m. with the Reverend Jeff Lynch officiating. Masonic services to be performed by Burlington Lodge #763 F. & A.M. Family and friends will meet Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. for a 2 p.m. interment at Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Courtyard Senior Living, Amedysis, and Tennova Residential Hospice.
