Thomas, John Henry (John Boy) – age 75, of Washburn went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2012 at Tennova North Hospital. He was a member of Emory Valley Baptist Church. He was an avid guitar player and loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Virgie Thomas; parents, Will and Martha Thomas; one sister and several brothers. He is survived by sons, Keith Thomas and Rick Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Jim Bailey, Jeannie and Gordon Beeler, Kelly Davis and Jeffery Smith, Bobbie and Randy Nicley all of Washburn; brothers, Mack Thomas and Ford Thomas of Knoxville; grandchildren; Josh, Chelsey, Marley, Will, Tyler, Dylan, Dakota, Matt, Jess, Derick, Haven, Ricky Dail and Virginia; great grandchildren, Connor, Natalie and Lauren. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 27, 2012, 6:00p.m – 8:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kevin Sexton officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Thomas Family Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Home, LLC Maynardville in charge of arrangements.
