Charles Doyle Oliver, age 63 of Luttrell, passed away August 18, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member of Mountain View Church of God, Luttrell and a veteran of the U.S. Army 5th Special Forces. He was a member of Corryton Lodge#321 F&AM Free and Accepted Masons. Charles pastored several churches over the past 44 years. Preceded in death by parents, Doyle Oliver, Ruth and James West; brother, Clarence Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Carol Earlene Oliver; daughters, Kendra Alexis Oliver, Katelyn Noelle Oliver; son, Charles Andrew (Andy) Oliver; sister, Esther (Doug) Atkins of Washburn; brothers, David (Barbara) Oliver of Washburn and Jerry (Rhonda) Oliver of Corryton; sister-in-law, Brenda Oliver of Washburn; aunts, Lola Dalton, Kathleen Lumpkins, Sydney West and Delphia West; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Antony Charles and staff at Thompson Oncology and the 8th floor staff at Fort Sanders Regional for their care during Charles stay. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Monday, August 20th, 2012 with a Masonic Service to follow at 8 pm. A funeral service will follow immediately after in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Thomas Hughes, Reverend Gordon Dykes, Reverend George Seay and Reverend Gary Donahue officiating. The family will meet Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 12:15 pm at Trinity Funeral Home and proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for interment at 1 pm. Pallbearers: Mike Crutchfield, Tim Crutchfield, Bobby Cox, Kevin Merritt, Jimmy Sallings, David Stalans, Kenny Walker and Stuart Wyrick.
